Holly House sponsors New Knee Golf Society event

 

Holly House was proud to sponsor a society golf event for players that have had one or more knee replacements.

Organised by The New Knee Golf Society the event was held at Moseley Golf Club, West Midlands, on 2 May 2012.  The winner was Mr James Demetre (pictured) who despite the difficult damp conditions on the course gained an excellent score of 33 points from a handicap of 16.  The runner-up was Mr Clifford Hughes.

Trophy presentationThe New Knee Golf Society is headed by one of Holly House’s Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons and golfer, Mr John Ireland.  This society exists for golfers, ladies or gents, who have had one (or two) knee replacement operations but continue to enjoy playing 18 holes preferably without a buggy.  The New Knee Golf Society holds regular golf days across the country for its members.  For more details please see www.newkneegolfsociety.co.uk
