Gastroenterology
Gastroenterology involves investigating conditions of the digestive system including the oesophagus, stomach, small bowel, duodenum, colon, liver and pancreas.
We offer outpatient gastroenterology consultations every weekday and on Saturdays to help diagnose and treat a wide range of digestive conditions.
Patients come with a variety of conditions including colitis, indigestion (dyspepsia), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), liver disease and pancreaticobiliary disorders.
Your Consultant Gastroenterologist may refer you for an endoscopic examination to look for the causes of any problems and aid diagnosis. The Holly Private Hospital has five fully-equipped theatres including a dedicated endoscopy suite where such investigative procedures can be carried out.
Your consultant also has access to other specialists within the hospital including our Consultant General Surgeons and dieticians to work with and refer to as appropriate. Should further treatment be required, there is little or no waiting time for surgery, your treatment can start as soon as you are ready.
So, whether you need a simple investigation or complex surgery, we can care for you from diagnosis through to treatment.
