Management team

 

David Henderson, Hospital Director
David joined The Holly as ‭Hospital Director in June 2016  ‭having previously worked ‭as Executive Director of the ‭BMI The Clementine Churchill ‭Hospital. Since joining, David has helped the hospital has win numerous industry awards and accreditations for quality, customer service and for being a great place to work. Recent awards include: 2018 Silver UK Customer Experience Award: Most Customer Centric Organisation;  2018 Society of Radiography Team of the Year (Eastern Region); 2018 Gold UK Employee Experience Awards: Rewards and Recognition, Talent Management and Employee Experience. Recent accreditation include Investors in People Silver and Association for Perioperative Practice (AfPP) accreditation, both in 2018.

David is also a qualified Facilitator and Trainer and ‭is also Management Development Lead for the ‭Aspen Healthcare Group. In 2017, he launched the Aspen People Academy, a leadership and management development course for staff across Aspen Healthcare.

 

Boris Wagner, Director of Operations
​Boris has over 15 years’ experience of operations management in private healthcare, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and the hospitality industries, both in the UK and South Africa. He is responsible for leading non-clinical operations at The Holly Private Hospital.

Boris previously worked at the BMI Clementine Churchill Hospital as Director of Operations, providing leadership and strategic direction for the non-clinical service delivery of the hospital. At BMI Boris was a member of the Senior Management Team and led out on a number of strategic projects to improve CQC feedback, patient satisfaction, catering and governance. He also oversaw several multi-million pound capital enhancement projects to the hospital, including a new Spec CT facility and the redesign and build of ITU and Phlebotomy facilities.

Prior to BMI Boris worked for De Vere Venues and Southern Sun Hotels where he successfully held a variety of positions including Operations Manager, Rooms Division Manager and Deputy General Manager.

 

Barnette Lessem, Director of Consultant Engagement and Administration
Barnette has worked at the Holly since 2002 successful carrying out a number of roles including GP and Cosmetics Suite Manager; Deputy OPD Manager and Administration Manager. She successful steered several hospital teams through our 2014 new build, supporting staff and patients through a period of transformation and rapid growth.

In December 2018, Barnette was appointed Director of Consultant Engagement and Administration. She brings a huge amount of experience and knowledge to the Senior Management Team and will help us continue to deliver exceptional healthcare to our patients.

 

Tom Price, Chief Financial Officer
Tom joined The Holly Private Hospital in May 2019, a Big Four trained fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, he has over 10 years’ in-depth financial experience of advising and working in organisations across both public and private sectors. Alongside operational finance experience, Tom’s breadth of expertise also covers the design and implementation of cost reduction programmes, hands-on delivery of operational performance improvement programmes and managerial oversight of business transformation processes.

Having previously worked as the Commercial Finance Manager at HCA Healthcare, Tom played a key role in supporting the divisional CFO and Head of Business Development in developing investment appraisals and key commercials for the division’s inorganic growth strategies. Tom also supported the CFO and wider Finance Team in identifying and implementing operational efficiencies across the division’s facilities.
