David Henderson, Hospital Director
David joined The Holly as Hospital Director in June 2016 having previously worked as Executive Director of the BMI The Clementine Churchill Hospital. Since joining, David has helped the hospital has win numerous industry awards and accreditations for quality, customer service and for being a great place to work. Recent awards include: 2018 Silver UK Customer Experience Award: Most Customer Centric Organisation; 2018 Society of Radiography Team of the Year (Eastern Region); 2018 Gold UK Employee Experience Awards: Rewards and Recognition, Talent Management and Employee Experience. Recent accreditation include Investors in People Silver and Association for Perioperative Practice (AfPP) accreditation, both in 2018.
David is also a qualified Facilitator and Trainer and is also Management Development Lead for the Aspen Healthcare Group. In 2017, he launched the Aspen People Academy, a leadership and management development course for staff across Aspen Healthcare.
Katherine Drummond, Director of Nursing & Clinical Services
Katherine has recent joined the Hospital in July 2021. Katherine has been a qualified nurse for 24 years, 13 of these working in varies Clinical Nurse Manager positions. She has previously worked at KIMS Hospital in Kent as Deputy Chief Nurse.
Katherine started working in the private sector 20 years ago for BMI and worked her way up to the Director of Nursing. In all her roles her priority has always been around patient safety and quality of care. She is passionate about leading clinical teams to ensure that the patient receives the best possible care throughout their entire patient journey.
During her career she has led on key projects such as Speaking up for Safety, development of staff training, introduction of new clinical services and embedding key clinical processes.
Barnette Lessem, Director of Consultant Engagement and Administration
Barnette has worked at the Holly since 2002 successful carrying out a number of roles including GP and Cosmetics Suite Manager; Deputy OPD Manager and Administration Manager. She successful steered several hospital teams through our 2014 new build, supporting staff and patients through a period of transformation and rapid growth.
In December 2018, Barnette was appointed Director of Consultant Engagement and Administration. She brings a huge amount of experience and knowledge to the Senior Management Team and will help us continue to deliver exceptional healthcare to our patients.
Laura Fowler, Human Resources Business Partner
A chartered member of the CIPD, Laura is an experienced HR Business Partner; with broad experience in various HR areas of expertise. Laura joined The Holly Private Hospital in 2015 having progressed her HR career in a variety of sectors including charity, legal and retail.
As an HR Business Partner Laura works closely with the Hospital Director and senior management team to enhance workforce performance, foster and nurture people enablers such as talent, leadership, engagement and culture, as well as developing people solutions to achieve the organisation’s objectives. Key employee related initiatives that Laura has led on include achieving Silver standard with Investors In People, developing an employee wellbeing programme which was awarded ‘Best New Wellbeing Strategy’ at the REBA employee wellbeing awards in 2020.
In addition to supporting The Holly, Laura has also played a valuable part in helping to shape the corporate HR strategy at Aspen Healthcare.
David Soriano, Finance Director
A results-driven, highly resourceful and focused finance professional with over 12 years of work experience in different Finance environments and industries. David commenced his career as an Auditor and he was educated to a Master Degree Level together with the Qualification as a Chartered Management Accountant.
Along operational finance experience, David’s breadth of expertise covers hands-on delivery of operational performance improvement and in-depth knowledge of the Private Healthcare Industry, gained from his previous background.
