Mr Samrat Mukherjee is a Consultant General and Laparoscopic Surgeon with a specialist interest in Upper GI surgery.
Mr Mukherjee qualified from Calcutta University, India in 2001. After a period of extensive training in India, he qualified as a General Surgeon in 2005. He completed his general surgery and upper gastrointestinal surgery training in London. During his training, he worked at the Royal Marsden Hospital and University College London Hospital, two major oesophagogastric cancer units in the Southeast of England.
Mr Mukherjee has particular expertise in laparoscopic procedures (cholecystectomy, hernia repair and anti-reflux surgery) and the diagnosis and treatment of oesophago-gastric cancers.
He has a special interest in clinical research with over 30 publications and numerous international and national presentations.
