He completed his Cardiology training at the prestigious London Teaching Hospitals (London Chest & St Barts Hospitals).  Along with being awarded his MD (Res) by University College London for research into ischaemia reperfusion injury. He frequently lectures to national and international meetings and is current on the management board for the British Cardiac Society.
