Two new senior managers appointed at Holly House Hospital
Two new senior managers have been appointed to Holly House Hospital prior to the opening of our £20 million redevelopment and expansion project.
Holly House Hospital has appointed Andy Willcocks as Director of Nursing and Clinical Services, and Luis Pedro as the new General Services Manager, to complement the existing management team (see photo). Andy joins Holly House from The Harley Street Clinic where he was the Adult Clinical Service Matron and Luis was headhunted by the hospital from the hotel and hospitality industry.

Father-of-one Andy, 40, grew up in Wimbledon and studied nursing at Essex University and was inspired to get into the profession because his mum was a nurse. He worked in the NHS for ten years before entering the private healthcare sector. He said: “I am really pleased to have joined such a well established and highly regarded hospital that is undergoing an exciting development.” Andy said he was keen to join the Holly House team as it consistently delivers month on month excellent patient satisfaction scores. He added: “The top patient satisfaction scores Holly House receives reflect its high standards. “It is a very friendly, close knit hospital and the kindness and compassion staff constantly deliver is apparent. My commitment to future patients is that as we grow and develop our buildings and services this bond between patients and staff will remain.”
Luis, 35, completed his hotel management degree in Switzerland and his general management degree in the USA. He is originally from Portugal and has worked in top hotels across the world before coming to London seven years ago and winning a variety of awards for customer service. Luis said: “I was headhunted for this role as Holly House is aiming to create a five star service for its guests, similar to what is experienced when visiting a top hotel. “I will be working on a number of projects to achieve this, like enhancing the meals, improving the customer service and bringing in a concierge and guest relations service that will be available to our guests even before they come in for treatment to cater for any of their requirements – so customer service will begin before even stepping into the hospital. “I am really enjoying bringing my skills to a new sector and getting to grips with all the clinical terminology. The staff are amazing and are very dedicated to their patients. We want to build on that and give specialist customer service training to staff before we open the new building to further enhance the experience. We want to be a different hospital.”
Phil Bates, Director of Holly House Hospital, said: “We are very pleased to welcome both Andy and Luis to the management team at this exciting stage of the redevelopment of Holly House Hospital.”
