Neurosurgery is the surgical treatment of diseases affecting the nervous system which includes the brain, spinal cord and all the peripheral nerves.

We offer regular neurosurgery outpatient clinics with Consultant Neurosurgeons in our new outpatients department which boasts forest views from many of the consulting rooms and waiting areas.

Our neurosurgeons, many of whom also have substantive posts within the NHS, are all experts in their fields and some of the most experienced local consultants and specialists.

Your consultant may refer you to one of our Consultant Neurophysiologists for an EEG or EMG if you require specialised testing of the electrical functions of your brain, spinal cord and nerves in the limbs and muscles to help identify the site of the neurological disturbance and its likely cause.

Should further treatment be required, the hospital has five fully-equipped theatres where surgery can be carried out. There is little or no waiting time for surgery, your treatment can start as soon as you are ready.

We can care for you from diagnosis to treatment at The Holly Hospital for a range of neurological conditions including brain tumours, epilepsy surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, spinal surgery, pituitary surgery and skull base surgery.

*Please note that you will need a GP referral letter to be able to use most of our services.
