Neurology is the diagnosis and management of diseases affecting the nervous system which includes the brain, spinal cord and all the peripheral nerves, and neurosurgery is the surgical treatment of such diseases.

We offer regular outpatient clinics with Consultant Neurologists to diagnose and medically manage neurological conditions. Your consultant may refer you to one of our Consultant Neurophysiologists for an EEG or EMG if you require specialised testing of the electrical functions of your brain, spinal cord and nerves in the limbs and muscles to help identify the site of the neurological disturbance and its likely cause.

Should surgical treatment be required, your consultant would refer you to one of our Consultant Neurosurgeons.

We can care for you from diagnosis to treatment at The Holly Hospital for a range of neurological conditions including dementia, epilepsy, headaches and migraines, nerve injuries, movement disorders, Multiple Sclerosis and stroke.

You will usually need to be referred to see a hospital consultant by a GP or other healthcare professional. Speak to your GP and ask them to refer you to The Holly Hospital.

*Please note that you will need a GP referral letter to be able to use most of our services.
