New Paediatric Speech and Language service launched

The Holly has recently launched a new paediatric speech and language service.

The new clinic is being run by speech and language therapist, Miss Deborah Michaels and will run on Monday mornings from 09.30am to 12.30pm in the private hospital’s Out-patients Department.

The new service will offer assessments, therapy and treatments for a wide range of speech, language and communication in young patients.

Appointments are available to patients aged 2 – 18 years and patients can be referred by their GP, via a consultant or through a self-referral by a parent or guardian.

An initial assessment costs £120 and any follow up sessions cost £70. Patients can avail of a special 3 session package for £210 or 6 sessions for £400.

Speaking about the new clinic, Phil Bates, Hospital Director said:

“We are really pleased to be launching this new speech and language service for children at Holly House hospital. It complements our existing paediatric services at the hospital and allows us to offer both our young patients and their parents/guardians access to speech and language therapy when they want.”
