Benefits of the 3T MRI scanner
Our 3T scanner produces images of a much higher resolution enabling us the capability of imaging smaller lesions and anatomy not always clearly visualised on 1.5T scanners, particularly in musculoskeletal, oncological, cardiac and brain imaging. The higher resolution imaging also means that it is no longer necessary to inject a dye into patients to pick up internal images for certain examinations.

With our 3T scanner, you can enter the MRI either feet or head first and with its larger magnet bore the whole experience of having an MRI far more comfortable and less claustrophobic for patients. The imaging process is also quieter and faster on a 3T scanner.

Important information

  • You will need to be referred for diagnostic imaging by a GP or healthcare professional before you can have a MRI scan.
  • Please note we cannot scan patients with pacemakers.
  • We do not use sedation on paediatric patients.
