About

Miss Watson trained in and around London in obstetrics and gynaecology, graduating from the Royal Free Hospital Medical School in 1994 and becoming a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists in 1999. After completing her training, she took her consultant post at the Homerton Hospital in 2006. She is currently Lead Gynaecologist and runs the busy Acute Gynaecology Unit, which deals with early pregnancy problems and urgent gynaecological problems.

Miss Watson has pioneered new and less invasive treatments for conditions such as bleeding problems, Bartholin’s cysts and abscesses, miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, and sterilisation methods at the Homerton Hospital, all of which can be performed without the need for a General Anaesthetic.

She is an experienced gynaecological surgeon performing minimal access surgery including hysteroscopic removal of fibroids and polyps and laparoscopic treatment for endometriosis and ovarian cysts, as well as major operations such as hysterectomy and myomectomy.

Miss Watson trains other gynaecologists in ultrasound and gynaecological surgery.
