Holly House Hospital Physio Noel is ambassador at Great City Race

Thousands of city workers raced through the Square Mile in the Standard Chartered Great City Race on 9th July 2015.

The 11th Standard Chartered Great City Race took place with just under 5,000 runners from 350 companies taking part in the 5km race.

This year the official race ambassadors included Holly House physiotherapist Noel Thatcher MBE, Paralympic gold medallist, Libby Clegg, Paralympic silver medallist and Olympic Gold medallist, Jonathan Edwards.

Lara Bromilow, from HSBC was the first female to cross the line with a time of 17:38. Phil Wicks from Allianz, made it eight race wins at the Standard Chartered Great City in a time of 14:43.

The Standard Chartered Great City Race is a unique 5km corporate running challenge which takes place around the closed off streets of the City of London. The corporate team running event aims to raise funds and awareness for the official race beneficiary Seeing is Believing.

Seeing is Believing is committed to help tackle avoidable blindness across the world and this year, all funds raised through the race will be used to support the ongoing East Africa Child Eye Health programme.
