About

Mr Chowdhury trained as a Surgeon in the UK since 2001 working at different District General and Teaching Hospitals including Oxford University, Imperial College & University College London Hospitals. He served a SAS Tutor under Oxford Deanery for a period of 3 years and received a teaching award from Oxford University.

He completed a Fellowship from University College London Hospital in Female, Functional, Reconstructive & Neuro-Urology. Later, he had the opportunity to work as a Consultant at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust until he was appointed as Consultant Urological Surgeon at Barts Health NHS Trust working at Whipps Cross & Newham University Hospitals.

Since he joined Barts Health NHS Trust, he has established a new Video-Urodynamics service at Whipps Cross University Hospital. He has also established the Female & Functional Urology service for the Trust, which is intended for patients with urinary incontinence and overactive bladder problems. Moreover, he has setup strong links with University College London Hospital to ensure high standards of care for patients to address the more complex incontinence cases.
