Mr. Shahid is a consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in lower limb surgery. He is a fellowship trained foot and ankle surgeon. He has been a consultant in NHS for many years providing a high level of care to his patients both for trauma and elective surgery. He is a chair of a committee in his NHS trust where he works with his colleagues to improve the outcome of orthopaedic surgery by reducing surgical site infections. He is a keen teacher and trainer for the next generation of orthopaedic surgeon. He is an MBBS examiner. He keeps himself updated with new research and developments in the field of his interest.
Mr Shahid graduated from a renowned medical school in Pakistan followed by a basic surgical training in a large teaching hospital. He worked, subsequently, in Republic of Ireland before moving to the UK. He has been awarded a Masters degree in Orthopaedics by the University of Dundee and a fellowship in the field of trauma and orthopaedics by Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Mr. Shahid is actively involved in local community and charity work. He chairs a committee which manages this work and also runs a community centre. He enjoys much of his spare time with his family.
