I have been a Consultant in Orthopaedic and Trauma with a special interest in spine surgery since 1998 with over 20 years of dealing with a wide range of orthopaedic conditions including large volume of complex spine conditions and surgery.
I trained at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital/Royal Free Hospital Rotation both as a Registrar and a Senior Registrar.
I completed my FRCS.orth and gained my certificate of specialist training.
I undertook my Spine Fellowship at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and University College London/Middlesex Hospital.
I am a trainer for junior doctors and specialist registrar.
I am a GMC appraiser and work with a multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists/radiologists/pain therapists/Spine surgeons.
I provide support for community based musculoskeletal services.
I participate in providing emergency services for the NHS and undertake major trauma work and complex spine surgery as well routine elective surgery-spinal injections/decompressions/discectomies/cervicalspine surgery/kyphoplasty/spine fusions/spine reconstructions/disc replacements).
I regularly perform routine and complex orthopaedic and spine surgery as well as supervising and training junior doctors.
I provide specialist Spine opinion to other consultants inc orthopaedic surgeons both at Whipps Cross University Hospital and elsewhere.
I receive large volume of refefrals from east London and the Essex/neighbouring vicinity from general practitioners, orthopaedic consultants , non-orthopaedic consultants, pain therapist, physiotherapists, osteopaths and other professionals allied to medicine.
