GastrointestinaI cancers to include oesophagus, stomach, pancreas, liver, gall bladder, colon and anal cancers. Also urological, lung and gynaecological cancers. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Training & background:
Dr Raouf is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Queens Hospital. He was awarded his medical degree in 1986 and is currently a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists, member of the European Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, and The American Society of Clinical Oncology.
Dr Raouf did his oncology training at Charing Cross, Mount Vernon and UCL Hospitals. Since taking up his appointment at Queens in 2005, he has become the lead clinician in colorectal cancers for the trust and a core member of the upper GI team with a total patient caseload of around 350 new cases per year. Dr Raouf is experienced in the use of targeted therapies in the treatment of patients with gastrointestinal malignancies and collaborates extensively in research and service development projects in his area.
His research interests include the epidemiology of cancer and chemo-radiotherapy in cancer management including rectal cancers and the use of chemo-radiation in the management of oesophageal and pancreatic cancers.
