Clinical interests:
Allergy – food, skin, eye, hay fever, urticaria, anaphylaxis, injection adrenaline training, allergy skin prick testing, immunotherapy (desensitisation).
General paediatrics – any medical problem concerning children – asthma, eczema, colic, reflux, feeding difficulties, failure to gain weight, constipation, abdominal pain, headache, urinary tract infection, day time and night time wetting.
Please note that Dr Sood does not see patients over the age of 18 for allergy testing.
Professional Fees: Allergy test charges are separate and in addition to the consultation charges.
Before allergy testing patient needs to avoid taking any antihistamines or cough syrups for at least 72 hours. Antihistamine medications interfere with the test and may make a test falsely negative.
If you do not cancel your appointment and do not attend for your appointment, you may be liable to a ‘non-attendance’ charge of £75.
Training and Background
Dr Sood has over 30 years of experience in dealing with general medical problems in children. He has also specialised in allergies and has set up the most comprehensive allergy service. He is experienced to look after children from birth to 16 years for all aspects of children’s health and urgent medical problems.
He has been a Consultant Paediatrician since 1998 and has been recognised by the ACCEA, an independent advisory Committee on Distinction Awards for 8 Clinical Excellence awards (the national maximum is 10).
