Dr Sahota’s medical training was at King’s College, London. His pre-clinical training included an intercalated BSc in Immunology. At medical school he was awarded the Lederle Dermatology prize and Hughes prize in anaesthetics. His dermatology training was at Middlesex Hospital, the National Medical Laser Centre (photodynamic therapy research), Royal London Hospital, Royal Free Hospital and St Thomas’ Hospital, with his certificate of completion of specialist training (CCST) in dermatology awarded in November 2000.
Dr Sahota was appointed as a Consultant Dermatologist at Whipps Cross University Hospital and Barts & the London in December 2000, also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary & Westfield College (University of London).
He has been a Fellow of Royal College of Physicians since May 2005. Dr Sahota is also Deputy Chair of the NE London Skin Cancer Tumour Board and Chair of the North London Specialist Training Committee. He is an Associate Course Director for Diploma in Clinical Dermatology (London).
