Gynaecology is the care of the female reproductive system including contraception, the investigation and treatment of menstrual problems, sexual problems, infertility, problems relating to the menopause, and disorders such as uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts. It also covers early pregnancy problems such as recurrent miscarriage.
If something’s worrying you, the sooner you’re seen, the sooner you can get treated and back to feeling your old self.
You can use your health insurance at The Holly Hospital or just pay as you go with a consultation costing £200 – £250 where you’ll get all the time you need to talk about your problem and be examined in a private, comfortable setting. You will need a referral letter from your GP. If you don’t have a GP or prefer to see one of our Private GPs for a referral, a routine appointment is just £80.
If following your consultation, you need any tests, we can help with that too. We offer screening, investigations and surgical procedures.

One-stop Clinics
We offer one-stop regular outpatient clinics with Consultant Gynaecologists (male and female). Wherever possible, we aim to offer patients the convenience of a one-stop clinic for the investigation and diagnosis of a variety of gynaecological conditions with outpatient clinics supported by our comprehensive range of diagnostic, screening, prenatal, and therapeutic services.
Annual gynaecological check-ups
Annual gynaecological check-ups are also available and may include an annual smear test to detect the onset of cervical cancer and/or breast examination and referral for mammography.
Should further treatment be required, the hospital has five fully-equipped theatres where surgery can be carried out. There is little or no waiting time for surgery, your treatment can start as soon as you are ready.
